Biography

My name is Fatima Taha, my friends call me Bogga. I am originally from Sudan. I’m a graduate candidate in the new joint program on Water Cooperation and Diplomacy which takes place in three universities the University for Peace, Costa Rica, the UNESCO-IHE Institute for water education, and Oregon State University, USA. I hold a Bachelor of Science degree (Honors) in Civil Engineering from University of Khartoum, Sudan. I work under the supervision of the graduate thesis advisor Dr. Todd Jarvis from the Institute of Water and Watershed. My master’s research focuses on examining the social learning and behavioral change impact using serious gaming “The Water Footprint Computer-Assisted Board Game” in water resources management. The research is premised on the importance of learning the needed skills for the negotiation over water topics along with providing a context for understanding the sustainability and globalization of water resources.
