How did OSU prepare you for your job?:

The amazing professors and students in the WRGP helped me develop the scientific background I needed for the engineering work I do today. Applying equations and running models can be dangerously easy, and I’ve found it takes a solid understanding of the fundamentals to know when those tools are appropriate. Also, I gained many practical skills at OSU through my exposure to GIS analysis and various hydraulic/hydrologic models.

Favorite Memory from OSU:

It's difficult to pick from among all of the memories! I shared an office (Gilmore 208) with an amazing group of folks, and while we all worked hard and got things done, it’s fair to say our friendships frequently competed with our academic productivity. That’s sort of the dream work environment, I think. Also, collecting field data in East Africa was a pretty amazing experience.
